As age started creeping up, I realized that I didn’t know much about the subject–having never been old before. Now that I‘ve gone through three decades of aging, I feel qualified to give a report. At ninety, I live an interesting, and sometimes exciting, life. I start my day catching up on the news by reading The Los Angeles Times online and news reports on my cell phone. Then, it’s “work time,” on my computer writing, editing, and communicating with agents and publishers. A two-hour nap follows brunch. Then it is cocktails with my daughter in the garden (weather permitting.). Once or twice a week, we dine at one of the great restaurants in Highland Park or Pasadena. Sports usually dominate the evenings (Jayhawks, Dodgers, and Lakers). Sometimes I end my day in the garden for music from Apple on my cellphone. That’s all, folks; it’s bedtime.
